The standard installation of Vector XI is installed in a new folder called: C:\VECXI
The main vector program and associated files are installed within this directory. Several sub folders are also installed.

Following is a listing and brief explanation of the purpose for each:
\CCD-Vector drawings. Several sample drawings are installed with examples of 2d and 3d parts. Vector drawing names have the format mydrawing.ccd
Other drawing file types, such as .igs, .dxf, .stl, .3dm, etc, may also be installed, saved, and accessed within this folder.
\CCT-Template files. These are used to make repetitive files similar to the template saved. They are accessed from File-New. Vector drawing template names have the format mydrawingtemplate.cct
\CFG-Machine configurations or post processors. These files are used to create the G-code from a Vector drawing and translate it into machine specific programs. The machine specific configurations on the CD should be copied into this folder. The names of these files have a .cfg extension, for example fanuc6.cfg
\MSK-These are text based script files that are used by the Vector NC when generating programs. Some sample files are installed. The file extension is .msk
\NCD-CNC program files may be exported to this folder. Normal Vector operation stores the CNC program file within the drawing file (.ccd). This folder can be used as a storage place for CNC text files that can be accessed across a shared lan network.
\SYM-Custom defined symbol lists are stored within this folder. Symbols are used in the Jobs process to track and report variable data. The file extension is .sym
\TTD-Tool table data is stored in this folder. The default tool libraries are installed here. These are tooltableInch.ttd and tooltableMetricMM.ttd. Tools are defined within Tool-tables and can be made available by selecting them from the NC-Tool Lib-Tool Table Import menu.
